Elie Wiesel, Nobel laureate, was a great teacher, writer, humanitarian and he
wrote my graduate school recommendation. I studied with him in a classroom of 35 at
Boston University for two semesters. When I gave my book report in his class, French TV was there. Elie always asked us to see the beauty in the world but not
to forget the ugliness. Every class was an inspiration. He had a firm, solid
handshake. He asked me what I found beautiful in this world. In our private meeting, he told me that I would be a teacher one day.
RIP Elie.
thank you for your work, effort, inspiration and compassion.
