This new science fiction spectacle(spek-tuh-kuhl) has plenty of action and strange creatures looming throughout the film. Natalie Portman is a leader in the team that must investigate a new and strange alien presence on Earth. Jennifer Jason Leigh is fun as a dying scientist. Plenty of colorful special effects. Lots of moment to moment nail-biting scenes and bizarre creatures that make quick appearances. A sequel? Perhaps as the annihilation(uh-nahy-uh-ley-shuhn) continues.
