PASSIVE voice sentences. Used often since most dialogues are more concerned with what happened to someone, than what someone or something did.
In a passive voice sentence, the subject of the sentence is acted on by the verb.
e.g. (The book) [was found] by Joyce.
(The music) [was heard] by Shepard.
ACTIVE voice sentences
In an active voice sentence, responsibility is to someone or something.
(Joyce) [found] the book.
(Shepard) [heard] the music.
